Responsibilities
Reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger activity
Maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations
Providing thorough analyses and explanations of financial transactions
Preparing schedules and documentation to support external auditors and grantors
Analyzing grant revenue and expenditure reports
Recommending actions to ensure compliance with budgets, projections, and grant terms
Preparing reimbursement invoices
Monitoring accounts receivable for major grants—such as HRSA 330, Ryan White Parts A/B/C, and private foundation awards
Compiling and analyzing financial data to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual cost and grant reports for federal, state, and private funders
Developing and managing grant budgets for new applications, modifications, and ongoing reporting
Serving as the primary liaison with auditors and grantors on financial and compliance matters
Contributing to the creation and improvement of accounting policies and procedures to align with best practices and strengthen internal controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting (focus on General and Grant Accounting preferred)
3+ years of accounting experience
Experience supporting a non-profit organization
