This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various IT areas while working under supervision and participating in professional development activities.

Responsibilities
Training, tasks, and technologies you’ll use will vary based on the area you are assigned
Some of the I/S areas our interns will work in include application development, application/system support, hardware/workstation support, infrastructure/network administration, project management, security and compliance, etc
You will participate in a variety of volunteering and networking events, presentations, and discussions to learn more about the healthcare insurance industry, BlueCross, the I/S division, Columbia, and our post-graduate IT training program (ELTP)
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours earned in the field of Computer Science or other IT-related majors and must be currently enrolled in college and working towards obtaining a 4-year degree in Computer Science or other IT-related majors
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Analytical or critical thinking skills
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
Good planning and multi-tasking skills
Strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions and ask questions to ensure a productive internship
Microsoft Office
