Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and other import requirements
Maintain accurate import documentation and ensure timely filing of customs entries
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve import issues quickly and effectively
Track shipments and proactively address delays or compliance risks
Identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions
Conduct audits of import transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards
Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce compliance risks
Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
Highly action-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks under tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities to meet organizational and individual goals
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance
Preferred
Experience in import compliance, customs brokerage, or trade operations preferred
Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance processes helpful
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and legal
Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners
