Scientist II
Collabera is a company in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Research industry, seeking a Scientist II to contribute to their research initiatives. The Scientist II will be responsible for independently designing, executing, and interpreting laboratory experiments, while also developing and optimizing experimental methods in a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
Independently design, execute, and interpret critical experiments to support project objectives
Develop, optimize, and implement new experimental methods and protocols
Modify experimental plans as needed to align with evolving project goals
Demonstrate mastery of a broad range of experimental techniques and data analysis methods
Serve as a technical resource or mentor for colleagues as needed
Maintain a strong understanding of project objectives and contribute to the overall research strategy
Organize, analyze, and present scientific data clearly and effectively
Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and intellectual property documentation
Routinely review and apply relevant scientific literature to experimental work
Set, manage, and meet experimental timelines in a fast-paced environment
Perform laboratory and pilot-scale activities with a high level of accuracy and reproducibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant laboratory experience OR Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience (No PHD)
Proven ability to independently design, execute, and interpret complex experiments
Strong background in scientific data analysis and experimental troubleshooting
Demonstrated ability to read, adapt, and apply scientific literature
Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet experimental timelines
Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device environments
Ability to innovate and design new experimental protocols to solve scientific problems
Prior quality systems or regulatory (GxP) experience
Strong theoretical and practical scientific expertise
Close attention to detail, data integrity, and experimental rigor
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
