Responsibilities

Sales Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, setting clear objectives and strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion/cross-selling beyond janitorial supplies to include meaningful growth in the foodservice disposable/equipment and packaging supply sectors, both regionally and nationally as directed by the ELT
Customer Relationship Management: Bolster customer relationships of our sales team by building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with organizational goals and market trends, ensuring our competitive edge within the industry
Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor sales personnel, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement and professionalism
Sales Performance Metrics: Play significant role in establishing key performance metrics and sales analytics in order to effectively evaluate the success of sales initiatives. As needed, provide necessary regular reports to senior management in a timely manner
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, utilizing market insights to drive strategic decision-making
Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to assist with negotiating favorable terms, secure exclusive agreements, and optimize product offerings
Budget Management: Oversee sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and ROI
Sales Operations: Regularly work with senior management to streamline sales processes, systems, and workflows to ensure effectiveness and scalability as the company continues to grow
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards as they relate to any/all sales activities
Communicate Up: Regularly and effectively communicate key market updates, major customer activity, meaningful prospect advancements as well as successes/issues with our sales team to GM

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
Proven track record of at least 8 years of successful sales leadership in the janitorial supply, foodservice supply, or packaging supply distribution industry
Solid understanding of sales methodologies/motivation levers, distribution channels, and end-user market dynamics within the sectors we serve
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make fact-based data-driven decisions
Proficiency in CRM software (SalesForce.com in particular), sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
