Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships
Perkins is an international NGO dedicated to helping children with disabilities find their place in the world through education and support. As the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will develop and implement strategies to forge high-impact partnerships that align with Perkins' mission and advance inclusion globally.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to attract, engage, and sustain high-value strategic partnerships aligned with Perkins’ global mission
Serve as a senior member of the development leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally to align partnership goals with organizational priorities
Represent Perkins as a senior ambassador to C-suite executives, corporate foundations, and global partners
Identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with corporations, social enterprises, and innovators seeking to drive global social impact
Build partnerships that integrate philanthropic investors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders into Perkins’ technology, program expansion, and product development efforts
Proactively identify and research funding opportunities; collaborate with colleagues to submit competitive, compelling institutional grant proposals
Champion creative, 'outside-the-box' approaches to partnership development—leveraging storytelling, technology, and global collaboration
Lead stewardship of existing partners, ensuring meaningful engagement, measurable outcomes, and long-term alignment
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of three professionals responsible for partnership cultivation, corporate engagement, relationship management, and grant writing
Maintain a schedule of engagement with corporate and foundation representatives, developing team-wide moves management plans and supporting executive-level solicitations
Cultivate a team culture grounded in creativity, accountability, and innovation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or corporate relations within the nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven corporate sector
Demonstrated history of building and sustaining high-value partnerships that generate significant philanthropic and strategic results
Proven success managing complex organizational relationships and engaging executive leadership
Strong leadership and mentorship experience with the ability to motivate and elevate team performance
Strong desire to elevate Perkins as a global leader in accessibility, inclusion, and social innovation
Exceptional strategic thinking, creativity, and business acumen—able to bridge mission and market opportunity
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage C-suite leaders and global innovators
Proven ability to write and present persuasively to diverse audiences
Deep passion for Perkins' mission and a commitment to advancing equity for people with disabilities worldwide
