Responsibilities
Maintains logs and records of inventory, services performed, and documents received, and compiles information for use by others
Reviews forms, documents and other materials for accuracy and completeness
Provides assistance to staff and public as required
Operates office equipment such as copiers, telephones and data processing equipment
Determines appropriate sign locations and installs signs on roadway easements
Drives to and from work sites for public functions, loads and unloads supplies and equipment, and performs minor safety and operational checks
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate
One year of clerical experience or experience assisting in a skilled trade and/or general maintenance work
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License
Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of roadway sign installation equipment
Knowledge of the preparation and application of materials used to fabricate the signs
Ability to operate a camera phone
Ability to read and interpret maps and aerial photos
Ability to work effectively with others
Ability to maintain files and records
Ability to follow established procedures and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle
Ability to use a computer and related software
Must be able to work outside in a subtropical climate in adverse weather conditions
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch in confined spaces
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
