Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of multiple applications
Identifies gaps in requirements and solves problems for the supporting staff
Supports the Project Manager as the technical team lead on the project
Leads software design and development teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
8 years of experience in software design and development, software test and evaluation, software requirements management
Experience in supporting Cloudera Applications running in Cloud
Experience in supporting Cloud Applications with Mongo DB
Experience in Cloud Disaster Recovery
Strong administration and troubleshooting skills in Apache Kafka
Experience with Kafka Streams API
Experience with stream processing with KStreams & Ktables
Experience with Kafka integration with MQ
Experience in Kafka broker management
Experience in topic/offset management
Administration experience with Apache Nifi
Flow management experience with Apache Nifi
Registry server management experience with Apache Nifi
Controller service management experience with Apache Nifi
Experience with Nifi to Kafka/HBase/Solr integration
Experience with Flume integration with Kafka, Nifi & IBM MQ
Administration experience with HBase
Database management experience with HBase
Troubleshooting experience with HBase
Administration experience with Solr
Experience managing logging level in Solr
Experience managing shards & high availability in Solr
Experience with collection management in Solr
Experience rectifying resource intensive & long running Solr queries
Experience ensuring Cloudera installation and configuration is at optimal specifications (CDP, CDSW, Hive, Spark, NiFi)
Experience performing critical data migrations from CDH to CDP
Experience designing and implementing big data pipelines and automated data flows using Python/R and NiFi
Experience assisting and providing expertise in automating the entire project lifecycle
Experience performing incremental updates and upgrades to the Cloudera environment
Experience assisting with new use cases (i.e., analytics/ML, data science, data ingest and processing)
Experience assisting with infrastructure (including new cluster deployments, cluster migration, expansion, major upgrades, COOP/DR, and security)
Experience assisting in testing, governance, data quality, training, and documentation efforts
Experience moving data and using YARN to allocate resources and schedule jobs
Experience managing job workflows with Oozie and Hue
Experience implementing comprehensive security policies across the Hadoop cluster using Ranger
Experience configuring and managing Cloudera Data Science Workbench using Cloudera Manager
Experience troubleshooting potential issues with Kerberos, TLS/SSL, Models, and Experiments
Experience supporting the Big Data / Hadoop databases throughout the development and production lifecycle
Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues, performance tuning, query optimization
Experience creating, testing, and implementing scripting for automation support
Experience working with Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Brokers, Connect, Zookeeper) in production
Experience implementing and supporting streaming technologies such as Kafka, Spark & Kudu
