Public Art Intern

NEOGOV is seeking a Public Art Intern for their Precinct 4 Forward Internship Program, which offers students hands-on experience in supporting public art initiatives. The intern will assist in project management, research, event planning, and community engagement related to art projects.

Responsibilities

Help manage project timelines, logistics, and communications with artists and stakeholders
Gather data and research on artists, materials, project milestones, and funding opportunities to support project implementation and reporting
Assist in preparing project documentation, reports, and promotional materials to share with internal and external stakeholders
Support event planning, including exhibitions, installations, and community engagement activities
Attend community workshops, site visits, and meetings related to art initiatives

Required

Students working toward an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management, multitasking, and data entry skills
Good planning and organizational skills
Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of urgency with impeccable organizational skills to meet deadlines and requirements for multiple projects
Ability to work effectively in a team or autonomously with accountability
Thoughtful use of judgement in managing responsibilities
Innovative, proactive, and creative in creating solutions and completing assignments
