BJC Health System is looking for a Senior Counsel with 3-5 years experience to provide legal services to the Health System and its affiliated entities under the direction of senior legal management leadership. This position is responsible for analyzing legal issues, providing guidance, and managing a diverse workload related to corporate governance and transactional matters.

Responsibilities

Analyze legal issues and risks and provide legal guidance to clients, review and draft contracts and other documents, to maximize protection of the organization's assets and interest

Provide a comprehensive range of legal services to BJC Hospitals and Service Organizations, with an emphasis on corporate governance, transactional matters and contracting within the Health System’s academic medical center

Provide expertise in developing new policies, revising existing policies; and provide advice in the implementation and application of policies

Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a large, diverse, and complex workload

Possess exceptional legal knowledge and excellent written and communication skills

Conduct legal research and due diligence related to transactional matters

Assist in preparing board and committee materials, resolutions, and corporate filings

Monitor developments in corporate governance and support compliance efforts

Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Required

3-5 years experience

Doctorate Degree - Jurisprudence
