Manager of Domestic Tax
Starkey Hearing is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of advanced hearing technologies. The Domestic Tax Manager is responsible for managing federal, state, and local tax compliance while supporting tax planning initiatives and financial reporting activities.

Responsibilities
Prepare and/or review all aspects of the federal, state, and local income tax returns for the company and related entities
Manage quarterly and annual estimated tax payments
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax forms
Monitor legislative changes and evaluate their impact on the company’s tax position
Assist with year-end tax provisions in accordance with GAAP
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external financial reporting
Maintain tax depreciation schedules and reconcile tax and book fixed asset differences
Support tax planning opportunities to optimize tax efficiency and reduce risk for the business and its owners
Research complex federal and state tax issues; prepare memos and recommendations for management
Assist in evaluating the tax impact of business transactions, investments, and new entity formations
Coordinate responses to IRS and state tax authority inquiries and audits
Maintain organized records and documentation to support tax positions and filings
Work with external tax advisors as needed to resolve issues or support specialized tax matters
Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, strengthen internal controls, and expand automation
Maintain documented tax procedures and ensure continuity within the finance team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
10+ years domestic tax experience
Strong experience with ERP and tax preparation systems
Prior experience in a multi-entity organizational structure
Excelled computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to use email and internet
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
Advanced knowledge of accounting standards
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
