Responsibilities
Inspect product to verify compliance with the requirements of the work order, applicable specifications, and the KF Valves quality management system in accordance with all licensing and customer requirements (i.e., API, ISO, PED, CSA, etc.)
Perform dimensional and visual inspections as assigned, including first article, in-process, and final inspections
Reviewing calibration certifications for accuracy and conformance to stated requirements
Ensure all documentation scanning/indexing tasks are maintained and kept up to date (i.e. process control records, work order documents, inspection records, etc.)
Interface with customer third-party source inspectors, when required
Review outsourced process documentation and reports for conformance to stated requirements (i.e. KFV QMS, API, ISO, customer, end user, etc)
Assist with customer returns as assigned. Inspect product prior to restock
Verify material test reports with engineering specifications for acceptance as required
Generate NCRs (nonconforming product reports) and handle all follow-up activities as required to ensure timely review and closure
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to administrative tasks, trouble-shooting customer requests, and field service tasks
The above list of duties represents various functional areas within the QC department which may be assigned based on the experience level of the personnel chosen for this role
Qualification
Required
Minimum high school diploma
Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, inspection, OR equivalent combination of education and experience within different disciplines, functions, and/or business
Preferred
Any additional training or certification will be considered an advantage
Knowledge of ball valves, calibration, hand gauges, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), strongly preferred
