Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and development of advanced robotic automation systems , including BIW, material handling, and custom automation solutions
Own end-to-end design responsibility , from concept development and feasibility studies through detailed engineering, validation, and release
Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with controls, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure seamless system integration and on-time delivery
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA to ensure robust, safe, and cost-effective designs
Support supplier coordination and design reviews , including technical discussions, root cause analysis, and design improvements
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership , promoting best practices and continuous improvement in design processes
Ensure designs meet customer specifications, quality standards, and project timelines , while driving innovation and value engineering
