Kersia Group is a global leader in food safety and biosecurity solutions, seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their rapidly growing North American operations. The role involves maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, managing complex accounting tasks, and providing analytical support to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Analyze financial data and trends to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making

Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors during audits and compliance reviews

Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

Support integration activities for acquisitions and system implementations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multinational or manufacturing environment

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Strong knowledge of GAAP and Financial reporting

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Oracle preferred

Knowledge of COGNOS or FCRS software a plus

Knowledge of IFRS reporting a plus
