Strategic Account Executive
Alight Solutions is dedicated to championing people and fostering a healthy workforce. The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for revenue retention, growth, and client satisfaction, cultivating relationships to enhance client engagement and drive demand for bundled solutions.
Responsibilities
Guide clients by recommending and implementing best practices for product use, earning trust across all levels of the client organization
Lead renewal strategy development, including preparation, presentation, and negotiation activities, ensuring seamless client retention
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify client needs, opportunities, and potential risks, and develop tailored solutions
Partner with Client Leaders to oversee day-to-day relationship management, ensuring projects progress according to schedule and meet quality standards
Establish and strengthen positive strategic relationships with client teams and key executives, delivering business cases, reports, and performance metrics to clients and broker/consultant partners
Identify opportunities to enhance client engagement, providing solutions that increase product adoption and improve overall satisfaction
Proactively manage client concerns, coordinating internal resources to maintain satisfaction and meet performance goals. Offer creative, ROI/VOI-driven solutions to address client challenges
Conduct regular performance review meetings with clients to discuss results, address concerns, and explore opportunities for growth
Qualification
Required
5+ years of success in account management or client success roles within a carrier, consulting/brokerage firm, or healthcare vendor
Proven track record of managing mid-to-large employer accounts (5,000+ lives)
Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to manage complex relationships
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to persuade and collaborate effectively with clients, brokers, team members, and leadership
Demonstrated ability to meet goals and manage a complex portfolio of accounts
Skilled in facilitating strategic planning discussions, helping clients define and achieve key objectives
Strong listening, inquiry, and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategic discussions into clear, actionable plans
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create innovative solutions for complex client needs
A collaborative mindset, with a commitment to team success and continuous improvement
