Responsibilities
Work as part of cross functional, passionate Agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery
Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans, cases and steps
Peer review test cases and ensure test coverage
Conduct exploratory testing
Execute test functional plans manually
Creation and maintenance of test data, tools and scripts
Contributing toward predictable delivery of quality releases
Identifying issues, risks and dependencies escalating and managing where appropriate
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Work with Automation Engineers to ensure proper Smoke, Regression test suites are built and create required Test Cycle Summary and additional reporting
Qualification
Required
7+ years of overall testing experience as a lead QA engineer supporting enterprise web applications
5+ years of DB/ ETL Processes/ Data Warehouse Testing experience
Proven experience in writing and executing manual test cases (functional, end to end, integration, etc.)
Thorough understanding of SDLC, QA processes in an Agile delivery environment
Excellent working knowledge of testing fundamentals and test case design techniques
Proficient with bug tracking and test management tools (Zephyr for JIRA) to support development processes
Ability to write intermediate to complex SQL scripts to create and manipulate data along with experience in Data migration testing
Functional knowledge of Databases specifically for Oracle 19c
Good understanding of relational database design
Experience with DDL, DML and DQL SQL syntaxes
Experience with SQL functions, joins and operators
Experience with Database validation, and Data quality testing
Ability to understand applications and associated batch flows, the services they provide in relation to the service levels and impacts
Proficient in utilizing an enterprise scheduling solution (Example: IBM Workload Scheduler) to monitor and manage batch processing
Operational experience with file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP
Experience in testing Business Objects, Crystal Reports
Data Warehouse Experience
Perform heavy data validation and ETL processes testing
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a wide range of people
Employs a collaborative and team orientated approach
Great attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Preferred
Experience with scripting languages like Python
Experience with querying in Snowflake
Perform load testing utilizing JMeter scripts
Experience with test automation frameworks like AccelQ, Selenium
Cross-Browser/Mobile device testing using tools such as Sauce Labs/Test Objects, Browser stack or any similar cloud platform
CTFL, ISTQB, CSQA or CSTE certified
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
