They are seeking a motivated intern to gain hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of a combined cycle power generation facility while supporting various projects and collaborating with industry experts.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily operation and monitoring of power plant systems

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks under supervision

Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to plant equipment

Support environmental compliance efforts through data collection and analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance and efficiency

Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Required

Must possess a valid drivers' license and successfully complete a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen

Strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Demonstrated interest in energy, power generation, or related fields

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities

Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic work environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Project

Experience using CAD software to create and modify technical drawings

Preferred

Previous internship or coursework related to power plant operations is a plus but not required

Some college or better in Engineering or related field

Educational concentration/interest in power generation systems and equipment, including operational theory and engineering safety is desired
