Equipment Planner / Project Design Manager

Ondal Medical Systems of America is seeking an Equipment Planner / Project Design Manager to support Ondal’s OEM Customers as they design and deliver Surgical and ICU projects for surgery centers, hospitals, and healthcare systems. In this role, you will work closely with OEM Customers, providing equipment planning guidance and managing projects from early planning through execution while ensuring designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Support OEM Customers in their collaboration with hospitals, architects, engineers, and clinicians
Provide equipment planning guidance for OR and ICU environments using Ondal solutions
Review architectural and engineering drawings for layouts, equipment positioning, coverage zones, and structural coordination
Translate clinical workflows into practical room design recommendations that integrate seamlessly with OEM solutions
Provide technical design input to OEM sales and project teams during planning, layouts, and specifications
Manage assigned OEM projects from order release through completion
Serve as the primary technical liaison between OEM Customers, Ondal sales, engineering, and operations
Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
Manage design changes, clarifications, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
Act as a trusted technical partner to OEM Customers throughout the project lifecycle
Support accurate handoff from sales team to Ondal operations
Ensure designs meet Customer specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements
Capture feedback from OEM partners and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or a related field. Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree
5+ years supporting capital equipment, medical device, healthcare construction, or healthcare facility design projects
Experience working with architectural drawings and technical documentation
Strong communication skills and comfort supporting Customer-facing, partner-driven projects
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience supporting OR, ICU, or procedural space projects
Familiarity with equipment planning or healthcare facility design standards
Project management experience or certification (PMP a plus)
Proficiency with CAD or layout tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is strongly preferred
