Responsibilities

Be the strategic partner for the business that identifies critical analytical issues and/or opportunities then applies an innovative mindset to drive solutions leveraging data and analytics
Experienced with data wrangling, analysis, reporting, and visualizations
Experienced with data-oriented programming language (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and comfortable with building intuitive dashboards/visualizations (e.g. Cognos Analytics, Planning Analytics, Power BI)
Experienced with data warehousing best practices and techniques
Familiar with existing data assets and are able to assist the business with self-service analytics by providing both technical support, business domain expertise, and training
Comfortable with ambiguity and can work with minimal oversight. You are able to connect the dots across the business needs and independently drive initiatives forward
Consult with the business, leveraging design thinking, analyzing issues and/or opportunities, and generating proof of concepts to help solve complex business problems

Required

Graduate degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Data or related field or Equivalent experience and bachelor degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Data or related field
Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of insurance concepts
Expert written and verbal communication with strong people and presentation skills
Expert knowledge of data-oriented programing languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
Expert knowledge of Analytics tools (e.g. MS Excel, Planning Analytics, Power BI)
Familiar with logical and/or physical data modeling techniques and Data Warehousing concepts
Proficient in translating functional business needs/requirements into technical specifications
Proficient in training/educating business users on analytic solutions, accessing data, and other analytics concepts
Consult with the business, leveraging design thinking, analyzing issues and/or opportunities, and generating proof of concepts to help solve complex business problems

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
Associate in Insurance Data Analytics (AIDA)
Project Management Certificate (PMP)
Databricks Certification
