Senior Lead Treasury Analyst- CIB Treasury

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Treasury Analyst on the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Treasury team within Corporate Treasury. The role focuses on managing the balance sheet, capital, liquidity, and funding strategies while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance financial performance and risk controls.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to initiatives spanning all aspects of CIB’s balance sheet and financial performance, including capital, liquidity, funding, profitability, business strategy, risk appetite, legal entity structure, geographic footprint, and operational design
Oversee the monitoring and evaluating of global market conditions, funding, asset and liability management, liquidity risk management, capital management, financial performance management, capital, and related activities
You will have an opportunity to challenge the status quo, interact with key stakeholders across the enterprise, and contribute towards recommendations to senior leadership following extensive research, and monitor execution of actions based on your analysis
Develop a deep understanding of CIB’s business model and activities across its sub-lines of business—CIB Markets, CIB Banking, and Commercial Real Estate—as well as enterprise-wide capital markets operations
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, challenge the status quo, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership based on rigorous analysis and research
Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced risk controls as well as provide technical expertise, interpret complex policies, and recommend best practices

Required

7+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Preferred

BS in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative field
Experience with capital markets and related products (derivatives, repo, etc.)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; effective in communication across a variety of audiences and stakeholders, including executive management
Ability to conduct research and analysis on complex topics; knack for triangulating sources of data and distilling information into key concepts for decision makers
Fundamental understanding of bank regulation and key constraints facing GSIBs, particularly capital and liquidity requirements
Knowledge of global banking business models including Wells Fargo and its peers
Strong risk management background
