They are seeking a Senior Insurance Accountant to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting, leading month-end close activities and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of complex journal entries

Perform and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances

Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly variance reporting to support leadership and FP&A

Prepare and review GAAP and statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and footnote disclosures

Maintain, document, and enhance internal accounting processes and controls

Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial reporting integrity

Partner with cross-functional teams and serve as a trusted accounting resource

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

4+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, and Yellow Book reporting

Advanced Excel proficiency required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas)

Strong attention to detail with proven analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to clearly communicate accounting concepts to leadership and business partners

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
