The role requires extensive knowledge of construction, facility management, and experience in managing contractors for maintenance and remedial services.

Responsibilities
Building Services Knowledge and or construction
Commercial and domestic install first fix knowledge
Structural understanding
Facility knowledge understands of fire doors and fire stopping
Qualifications in Fire door approved checks FDIS or other
HSE Knowledge
City & Guilds or equivalent in carpentry and joinery, painting or other
SMSTMS / IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirable
Manager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenance
Certificated assessor for building services activities including confined space, hot works, working at height, desirable hold or held an AP appointment for Hot works, Working at Height, permit to work
Computer literate, familiar with MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Project and capable of becoming competent user of bespoke databases
Experience of having worked in a similar role within a large diverse organization and have a proven track record of success in delivering and monitoring EHS activities
Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues, with the ability to interpret relevant policy and legislation, and implement this across all working practices
Ideally, experience of working in a continuous improvement culture
Minimum of 5 yrs experience with a Recognized Apprenticeship and Qualifications to undertake the role in higher Education L2 Minimum
Read system drawings
Worked on and issued Permits and Isolations to support the account
Confident decision maker
Regulations and CDM
Understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programs
Recognized Apprenticeship essential
