Sr Instructional Designer

Tyson Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designer to join their team. The role involves designing and developing engaging learning materials, collaborating with subject matter experts, and applying instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and develop learning objectives
Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and assessments
Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
Utilize industry-standard tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Workday Learning, Camtasia, and Synthesia to develop e-learning modules and multimedia content
Incorporate multimedia elements, such as graphics, audio, and video, to enhance learning materials
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to instructional design standards
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials through assessments and feedback from learners and stakeholders
Revise and update existing learning materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning development

Required

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, HR, Education, Business or a related field
3+ years proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development for adult learners in a corporate environment
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build curriculum through storytelling by incorporating case studies, real-life examples or fictional scenarios
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS, ideally Workday) and learning technologies
Familiarity with assessment and evaluation methodologies for learning effectiveness

Preferred

5+ years proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development for adult learners in a corporate environment
Experience with industry-standard tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Workday Learning, Camtasia, and Synthesia
Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience using graphic design tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience using ChatGPT and other similar tools to support research and writing as it relates to instructional design
Familiarity with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies for learning
Experience with gamification techniques and game-based learning
Familiarity with project methodologies, such as Agile and ADDIE
