Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety protocols when performing work on Crown property
Apply high-quality craftsmanship in the installation of electrical and mechanical systems across all facilities
Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical systems; including DC control voltage up to 480VAC, and proficient in using a volt-ohm meter (VOM)
Troubleshoot and repair machinery using testing equipment, technical manuals, and remote support (online or over the phone)
Read and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings to support equipment and plant repairs
Use a computer to troubleshoot PLCs, welders, HMIs, VFDs, and related systems
Organize projects, provide direction to team members, and assist in training new department personnel
Install and maintain jib and bridge-type crane structures
Identify, source, or fabricate parts necessary for equipment repairs
Accurately document all maintenance activities using the work order system
Execute preventative maintenance PMs, work orders, and track parts inventory and labor time using the CMMS
Exhibit self-motivation and strong time management skills
Prepare and deliver shift reports to ensure effective communication across departments and shifts
Operate various construction and lifting equipment including trucks, forklifts, scissor & boom lifts
Prior experience with CNC or machining equipment a plus
Willing to train on or off-site w/ equipment manufacturers
Utilize basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe PDF
Perform all other duties as assigned

Required

This position requires a high school diploma
Related work experience is required for this position
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required - must be able to read and understand prints and diagrams
Ability to effectively work with servicemen, supervisors, and operators
Basic computer skills required - Excel, Outlook, etc
Must be able to stay stationary/traverse 8/10 hrs. per shift
Frequently bend, reach above shoulder level, balance, and occasionally squat, crawl, climb, kneel, and push/pull
Frequent lifting and carrying from 0 to 40 lbs
Must be able to communicate verbally and in written for effectively with other people
Must be able to hear, see, write, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple but firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals, and work at unprotected heights up to 30 feet
Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to outside temperatures, dust, solvents, grease, and oil
Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic
Must be able to read work orders and prints, basic math skills, knowledge of building structures, and basic computer skills
Must understand the concept of teamwork

Preferred

Two years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance preferred
CNC machine service and programmable controller experience would be a plus
