Responsibilities
Contract Ownership & Redlining: Lead the negotiation and redlining of complex SaaS agreements, including MSAs, Order Forms, NDAs, and Data Processing Addendums (DPAs)
Legal De-risking: Apply your paralegal expertise to identify and resolve common contractual hurdles (indemnity, liability, SLAs) within pre-approved guidelines
Process Optimization: Develop and maintain a "Negotiation Playbook" to standardize responses to common customer objections and legal requests
Training & Coaching: Mentor and train junior Deal Desk analysts and Account Executives on best practices for contract review and deal hygiene
Approval Workflow: Manage the end-to-end deal approval process, ensuring all stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Product) provide timely input
Qualification
Required
5+ years in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Legal Operations, specifically within the B2B SaaS industry
Proven experience as a Paralegal or Contract Manager, with a deep understanding of commercial contract law and SaaS revenue recognition
Expert-level ability to redline contracts independently and explain legal risks in 'plain English' to non-legal stakeholders
Experience coaching or managing others; you should enjoy teaching others how to 'spot the traps' in a contract
High proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) and CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) software (e.g., Ironclad, Conga, or PandaDoc)
Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, quarter-end environment
