Required

A four-year Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline from an ABET accredited institution, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution or an ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)
Five (5) years working experience in Engineering-related positions for Engineer II
Eight (8) years working experience in Engineering-related positions for Engineer Senior

Preferred

Problem analysis/resolution techniques
Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, practices, methods and safety standards in the area of applicable engineering discipline
Professional Engineer licensure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of the application of control theory for electric grid operation & automation
Experience with creating settings, message layouts, and/or control templates for distribution, substation, and/or transmission equipment controllers
Familiarity with reliability and/or power quality technology, i.e. voltage regulators, capacitor banks, line sensors, reclosers / supervisory switches, grid edge dynamic VAR control apparatuses, control/relay panels for various substation devices, and other SCADA controlled devices
Working knowledge of load management, distribution operations, and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)
Training and assisting with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems
Mentor and develop professional staff
Experience with Power Base, CYME, SEL AcSelerator, CAPE, and ADMS
Knowledge on performing short circuit analysis, coordination studies and load flow
