Responsibilities

Assist the facility Patient Financial Services Director in their role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to facilitate quality services
Provide oversight and building solid relationships with revenue cycle management for assigned group facilities
Promote a teamwork approach while holding the vendor responsible for achieving performance expectations
Monitor and manage facility patient access management on key performance indicators for assign facilities on a weekly basis such as registration quality assurance, lobby wait times, upfront collections, opportunity to collect percentage, self-pay volume, Medicaid eligibility indicators such as placements, con-versions and returned, health insurance marketplace statistics, unbilled statistics, and any additional that present as appropriate to manage
Monitor and manage revenue cycle (Parallon, Conifer, BSC) on key performance indicators for assigned facilities on a weekly basis to include but not limited to cash, accounts receivable (A/R) days, A/R aging, denials, underpayments, and credit balances
Responsible for communication of Health Support Center (HSC) expectations and protocols within the assigned group
Coordinate with assigned group service centers to achieve facility goals and expectations
Responsible for management of a specific group of hospitals revenue cycle performance
Ensure data integrity related to group monthly operating reports, dashboards, and any reporting related to shared services performance
Serve as the HSC liaison for group and facility leadership, responding to their needs appropriately and timely
Support facility and group leadership in monitoring and ensuring applicable service center is honoring the service contract terms and consistently exceeding SLA requirements
Assist group leadership with coordination of activities and performance across service centers to ensure standardization, best practices and achievement of optimal performance measures
Conduct and/or participate in assigned group and facility monthly operating reports (MOR)
Explain and/or interpret data and results in key performance areas as appropriate and when necessary
Support facility Patient Financial Services Director in ensuring that the facility meets The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, The Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and complies with corporate policies and procedures and adjusts staffing levels to meet stated goals
Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information: Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors
Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommend-ed Practices
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and state regulatory environments as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Minimum of 7 years related experience, preferably with experience in a Central Business Office (CBO) or Regional Director role
Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
Skilled in the application of policies and procedures
Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and state regulatory environments as needed
