Customer Happiness Associate [1099 - Contract]

The Customer Happiness Associate will provide outstanding customer support, ensuring that customers feel heard and valued while collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer support via Intercom, our primary customer service tool
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions
Ensure customers feel heard, supported, and valued throughout their interaction with Sandboxx
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, operations) to escalate and resolve complex issues
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedback in Intercom
Identify common customer pain points and share insights to help improve processes, tools, and product features
Uphold Sandboxx’s commitment to providing compassionate, mission-driven support
Qualification
Required
2+ years of customer service experience in a remote, digital-first environment
Proficiency with Intercom or similar customer support platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Help Scout)
Strong written communication skills - clear, concise, and empathetic
Ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities at once
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as a contractor
Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and processes quickly
Preferred
Experience supporting mobile apps, subscription services, or e-commerce customers
Familiarity with military culture or prior experience supporting military families
Available to cover 8 hours on the weekend
