Responsibilities
System Testing & Configuration: Test and configure electrical and avionics systems using airplane orders, schematics, and engineering specs
Component Installation: Install and remove components and wiring for systems like radios, altimeters, transponders, and weather radar
Software Loading: Load system software and databases, configuring as required
System Adjustment & Restoration: Use hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to shop procedures and engineering requirements
Troubleshooting Assistance: Guide or assist 3-5 employees in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical system issues
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of your work through meticulous testing and adherence to standards
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required
Have 3-5 years aircraft experience including avionics troubleshooting and functional testing is required
A knowledge of electrical and avionics principles use of test equipment is required
Preferred
At least one year of fundamental avionics and electronics is helpful
