Responsibilities
Develop complex layouts and calculations for site design, storm water management, utility systems (water/sewer), erosion control, and grading
Prepare high-quality construction drawings, specifications, and environmental plans from initial concept through final production
Analyze topographical and geologic data (reports, maps, tests) to inform project planning and design
Review design drawings for technical accuracy and compliance with relevant design codes and project specifications
Manage volume calculations, project schedules, and budgets; maintain logical and structured project files and data storage
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Drafting Technology (or related) + 7 years of experience
Associate Degree + 8 years of experience
9+ years of progressive detailing and design experience
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD
Expert proficiency in Civil 3D
Expert proficiency in MicroStation
Expert proficiency in Excel
Mastery of civil engineering theories and practices
Proven ability to work alongside Project Managers and Engineers in a multi-discipline environment
Excellent written and verbal skills for report preparation and team coordination
Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and problem-solving
