Training Specialist

The Training Specialist is responsible for assessing training needs, developing effective learning programs, and delivering engaging instruction that enhances knowledge retention, skill development, and performance.

Responsibilities

Deliver training for employee orientation, new hires, and upskilling programs
Assess training needs and develop materials, tutorials, and resources tailored to learner requirements
Collaborate with managers, leadership, and internal/external partners to align training strategies
Evaluate training effectiveness through data, feedback, and performance outcomes, track and report results
Design, review, and maintain high-quality training content and resources
Communicate training updates, best practices, and announcements through digital platforms
Coach employees to build skills and support career development
Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, enrollment, equipment, and costs

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Human Resources, Business, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Trainer, Corporate Training Specialist, or similar role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and learning technologies (Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, etc.)
Skilled in instructional design, digital learning platforms, and training delivery best practices
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to recommend practical training solutions

Preferred

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Certification from recognized training or talent associations
