They are seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Intern to gain hands-on experience in the civil and environmental engineering industry, working alongside senior engineers and scientists on impactful projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis for storm drainage issues, floodplain studies, and dam safety

Support the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for stormwater facilities, Green Infrastructure (GI), and Low Impact Development (LID) projects

Occasionally support field investigations, including stormwater infrastructure inspections (MS4), illicit discharge detection, pond inspections, and stream assessments

Utilize ArcGIS for mapping, data analysis, and watershed characterization

Assist in the production of client deliverables, including technical memoranda, environmental permit applications, and engineering cost estimates

Conduct background research on regulatory requirements (CWA, TMDL, MS4) and emerging water management technologies

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

Completed coursework in Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, or Hydraulics is highly preferred

Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check

Must be authorized to work in the United States
