Corporate Accounting Manager
LHH is a publicly traded transportation organization based in Chicago, experiencing significant growth from strategic investments. The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and managing a team of accounting professionals.
Responsibilities
Oversee monthly accounting and reporting for corporate and North American operating segments
Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting rollforwards
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis, key metrics, and cash flow statements
Review schedules supporting quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K)
Support internal and external audit requests
Evaluate, document, and maintain accounting policies and operating procedures
Monitor compliance with internal controls across general ledger activity
Manage, coach, and develop direct reports (2)
Set priorities and expectations while supporting team growth
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
CPA required
Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm experience
Prior people management or demonstrated team leadership experience
Preferred
Public company client exposure in public accounting and/or experience working in a public company environment
