Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and report the owner’s Master Project Schedule, integrating EPC and third-party contractor schedules into a single, coordinated project schedule
Serve as the owner’s primary reviewer and analyst of contractor-provided schedules, progress updates, and cost data
Provide project leadership with accurate cost, schedule, performance, and variance reports
Verify contractor progress and associate earned progress with approved Schedules of Values
Review contractor invoices for alignment with reported progress and provide recommendations for owner approval
Evaluate and provide recommendations on contractor change order requests from a cost and schedule perspective
Monitor schedule logic, critical path, and key milestones to identify risks and mitigation strategies
Interface regularly with project leadership, engineering, construction management, and document controls
Coordinate schedule and cost data with document control systems to ensure data accuracy and traceability
Support claims avoidance through proactive schedule analysis, documentation, and reporting
Perform additional duties as required to support successful owner project execution

Required

Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Ability to effectively represent owner interests when working with engineers, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls for engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting
Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate complex construction schedules
Self-starter with the ability to identify and address gaps in project controls coverage using professional judgment and experience
Progressive experience on complex construction projects with demonstrated knowledge of:
Industry standard project controls practices
Construction scheduling fundamentals, including CPM methodology
Advanced scheduling techniques and tools, including Primavera P6
Change management, cost estimating, and claims avoidance/mitigation
Project record administration and performance reporting
Quality assurance and quality control principles
Project cost tracking, analysis, and forecasting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management and collaboration software

Preferred

Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
One or more professional certifications, such as:
CPE, CEP, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, PRMP, DRMP, CFCC, PE, or MCSA: BI Reporting
