INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN ANALYST II -
UNM Hospital is seeking an Instructional Design Analyst II to support various educational delivery systems. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing learning technology resources while coordinating research and development projects in collaboration with clinical education and organizational development departments.

Responsibilities
Design and develop alternative delivery instructional and diagnostic training programs using instructional design (ISD) principles, web technology, and learning technology standards
Analyze, assess, and evaluate specific needs for different employee groups, authoring well-designed systems, and training modules that adhere to current professional standards and practices
Research, design, and develop instructional products that support a variety of delivery methods: on-line training services, technical documentation, diagnostic programs, self-paced tutorials and computer based training (CBT) desktop learning
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of current and newly implemented educational systems; participate in upgrades, solutions, enhancements, and go-live support
Coordinate the installation of new information systems with IT and other departments/organizations as applicable
Act as consultant and/or facilitator to hospital managers and departments in system development and upgrades, strategic planning, performance improvement, and desktop training opportunities according to the organization needs and objectives
Plan, organize, administer, and develop cost effective training and educational, alternative delivery programs and on-line educational services including video conferencing and distance learning
Head project teams as CLT training liaison within the IT department
Manage large scope, highly complex projects with organization-wide visibility impact, making decisions regarding project goals, outcomes for systems models, resources, cost effectiveness and organizational needs and timeliness
Act as resource to management in defining, framing, and solving problems
Demonstrate understanding of educational program development, learning technology, and principles and practices at University Hospital and other organizations; Act as a resource to management in defining, framing, and solving problems
Maintain contact with training organizations and associations to discover new learning technology training developments; attend seminars and training sessions
Serve on committees as liaison for employees, physician support services, and training and development
Maintain records of programs, services provided, and other training information, such as trends, outcomes, and JCAHO requirements
Maintain a high level of professional competence in CLT, instructional effectiveness, e-learning, web authoring, on-the-job training programs and best practices
Follow established policies and procedures, employee expectations, and standards of performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3 years directly related experience
Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis
Preferred
Master's Degree
Computer web authoring, HTML, programming (Java, Visual Basic), desktop publishing and presentation software
