Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in Analytical Science and Technology, including method development, method validation, and analytical instrumentation (installation, qualification, calibration, and maintenance)
Lead projects in a collaborative team environment, ensuring objectives are met or exceeded within established timelines through proactive and innovative problem-solving
Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), data integrity standards, laboratory procedures, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the client’s network, leading activities related to analytical methods, instrumentation, investigations, and troubleshooting of complex technical challenges
Plan and execute analytical experiments using HPLC, UPLC, GC, and MS to support project timelines and deliverables
Act as a role model for continuous improvement by initiating and leading improvement activities, fostering innovation, and participating in cross-functional projects related to safety, quality, and performance
Demonstrate proficiency in the use and maintenance of common analytical instrumentation; serve as Instrument Owner and provide management approval for instrument-related incidents
Communicate effectively in a matrixed environment, managing expectations of customers and key stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Life Science
10+ years of experience in method development, analytical chemistry, and/or laboratory instrumentation
Preferred
PhD in Chemistry with 3+ years of experience
OR MS degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
OR BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
Strong hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC
In-depth understanding of advanced chemistry, analytical instrumentation, calibration, and analytical method development
Ability to work autonomously as a project leader, accountable for delivering results in a highly technical environment
