Human Resources Business Partner
CFS is working with a client in Kalamazoo, MI to find a Human Resources Business Partner to join their team. The role involves aligning HR strategies with business goals and managing various HR functions including recruiting, talent management, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruiting (HQ and field staff), including job postings, interviews, and offers
Oversee union bids and progression activities
Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires
Advise on workforce planning, succession planning, and HR policies
Support supervisors with employee relations and HR guidance
Maintain compliance with employment laws and assist with audits
Identify training needs, develop materials, and monitor program success
Assist with contract negotiations, wage increases, and benefits administration
Perform general HR administrative tasks and support day-to-day operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (or ability to obtain within one year)
8–10 years of experience in employee relations and HR disciplines
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems
