HVAC Outside Sales Representative

EDOS Manufacturers' Representatives is a family-owned company that has been representing top manufacturers in the New England plumbing and heating industry since 1975. They are seeking a motivated HVAC Outside Sales Representative who will leverage their technical expertise to build relationships, identify customer needs, and provide tailored HVAC solutions while managing their own sales territory.

Wholesale Hardware Plumbing Heating Equipment

Responsibilities

Must have HVAC or some electrical background
Must have prior field experience
Technical background is a must
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
Identify and execute possible leads
Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products and services that may be of interest
Work with Regional Managers associated with specific product/line categories
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems using our CRM
Develops new accounts through prospecting
Monitor industry competitors and new products
Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
Participate in trade shows, wholesaler events, counter days, and other trade-related activities
Trains and educates up to 50 people at a time on new and existing products and services
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Must have HVAC or some electrical background
Must have prior field experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to speak in front of an audience
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
Solid interpersonal skills; a friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus
Ability to occasionally travel and do overnights
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field; OR At least five years of related experience desired, will train a desired candidate
