Control Engineer
Theoris Services is assisting their client in searching for a Control Systems Engineer. The engineer will design, analyze, verify, and implement automation and control systems across industrial equipment and processes, while also providing technical expertise throughout all phases of design.
Responsibilities
Create Design and Functional Design Specifications, PLC code, sequencer pinning documentation, and process-driven control logic
Develop I/O checkout lists and electrical schematics
Prepare equipment specifications and cost analyses
Perform labor and equipment cost estimation
Design control system network architecture
Lead Functional Design Specification reviews and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) simulations
Lead commissioning and on-site customer training activities
Support ongoing improvements to new and existing controls standards used by the engineering team
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of experience in a related controls or automation engineering field
Proficiency with Windows, PC hardware, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to identify, plan, and track tasks required to deliver full control system designs based on P&IDs and layout drawings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Certifications such as EIT, PE, CCE, ISA, or Ignition Core/Gold are a plus
