Responsibilities
Develop, refine, and standardize extrusion processes to improve line efficiency and product consistency across multiple facilities
Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions
Recommend equipment, tooling, and material improvements to support growth and efficiency
Work with thermoplastics such as PVC, XLPE, PE, and TPE to support material trials and qualifications
Specify and maintain extrusion equipment through preventive maintenance programs
Validate extrusion parameters and finished product specifications including insulation thickness and concentricity
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement solutions for quality issues
Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards
Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput, reduce variation, and eliminate waste
Develop and implement standardized procedures and training for production teams
Partner with R&D, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to launch new products and scale production
Support new product introductions with strong process design and validation
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with compound extrusion and cable manufacturing processes
Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, extrusion equipment, and quality systems
Hands-on problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience leading Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
