SolomonEdwards is partnering with a leading, nationwide mortgage lender to identify Remote Mortgage Underwriters to support high-quality, compliant loan decisions. In this role, you will be accountable for the quality and accuracy of underwriting decisions, ensuring that reviewed assets and loan files meet all applicable investors, agency, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Review all mortgage applications and support documentation for accuracy, completeness, and salability (processing 2 loans per day)

Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and related documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues

Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials

Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis

3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
