Responsibilities
Build and scale a next-generation backend platform
Solve hard infrastructure and distributed systems problems
Design systems that run a LOT of workloads concurrently, fast and efficiently
Work hands-on with Kubernetes or Nomad
Own infrastructure projects from 0 → 1 and into production
Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers and Distributed Systems Engineers
Take real responsibility for performance, reliability, and scale
Qualification
Required
5+ years building infrastructure, especially distributed systems
Proven experience building infrastructure at scale
Strong proficiency in Go
Experience with Python and/or TypeScript (SDKs, integrations, features)
Comfortable taking full ownership of parts of the product
Majority of professional experience in small, fast-paced startups (Seed – Series C)
Preferred
Experience with Kubernetes and/or Nomad
Developer tooling or platform engineering background
Building systems used directly by external developers
High GitHub activity (~1k contributions/year) if no high-calibre startup background
