The Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and providing engineering support in the production department.

Responsibilities
Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes
Develops and implements process control techniques and procedures
Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction and throughput
Estimates production times, relative costs, and staffing requirements to provide data for operational decisions
Works closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees
Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost
Creates and maintains accurate documentation of tool drawings and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions
Provides engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems
Coordinates work with technicians and outside vendors
Supports company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and manufacturing practices
Helps develop and create programs for CNC equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical engineering
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment consisting of manufacture of low to medium volume machined components and assemblies
Experience in mill, lathe, hone and grinding operations
Must have CNC, lathe and 5-axis experience with HAAS machines
Above average technical writing / written communication / presentation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite in preparing various communications
Consistently demonstrates solid work ethic and commitment to personal and professional growth as an engineering professional
Must be a good listener and have the ability to effectively deal with people at all levels
Potential for occasional domestic / international travel
Preferred
Experience in lean manufacturing methodologies
2D and 3D CAD experience
Working knowledge of business database software such as BPCS / AS400, or an equivalent material control management system
