Field Service Technician

Wasik Associates is seeking a Field Service Technician who will perform customer support activities including installation, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance of systems at customer sites. Responsibilities

Soldering
Wiring control panels from schematics
Coordinate weekly with production to meet customer and inventory demands
Read prints, schematics, diagrams to determine methods and sequences of assembly
Operate small cranes to transport or position large parts
Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications and customer order requirements
Assembly Assemble equipment, and sub-assemblies
Quality Control Conduct tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality or performance
Equipment Selection Determine the kind of tools and equipment to do a specific task
Troubleshooting Determine the cause of operating errors and decide corrective action
Attention to Detail and following directions
Requires excellent systematic troubleshooting skills utilizing a structured and comprehensive process to determine the root cause of an outage, with the ability to handle problems independently and implement corrective action
Must be available and willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Depending upon business needs, travel can vary greatly

The candidate should have a minimum of five years work experience with a strong mechanical and electrical background
Ability to work independently or with a team and willingness to take on numerous assignments

Preferred

Preferably 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, but on-the-job training will be supplied
