Responsibilities
Operates, drives and performs basic maintenance on outreach vehicles
Works with outreach team to create and conduct STREAM programs and deliver services through library outreach vehicles
Coordinates with partner organizations to support partner outreach programming
Acts as a costumed mascot, when needed
Promotes library services to youth and their caregivers, adults, and community groups
Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with local schools, youth organizations, and community groups
Circulates library materials and assists with collection shelving and maintenance
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
One (1) year of program experience (e.g., activities for all ages)
OR Associates degree in any field or 60 hours of secondary education credits from an accredited college or university
Three (3) years of program experience (e.g., activities for all ages)
OR High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
Five (5) years of program experience (e.g., activities for all ages)
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Understanding of digital literacy, social media, and other emerging technology or technology trends
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and modern technology
Ability to take initiative and work independently, with limited supervision, as well as collaboratively with HCPL and HCJPD staff
Ability to drive a mobile library, a Ford F59 P1000 Body type vehicle (length 26'- “UPS/FEDEX” Body Type)
