Audio Visual Manager
McCormick Place is seeking an Audio Visual Manager to oversee audio-visual operations at their convention center and associated hotels. The role involves managing equipment rental programs, preparing labor and equipment estimates, and ensuring compliance with facility guidelines during events.
Responsibilities
Prepares accurate labor and equipment estimates
Reviews and distributes production schedules, diagrams, rigging plots, and equipment lists to the necessary departments
Ensures labor and event contractors' compliance with facility guidelines
Oversee events utilizing MPEA’s labor service, Direct Connect. This includes overseeing event labor, load-in through load-out
Provides accurate & timely billing statements for customers and campus partners
Promotes facility-sponsored cost-saving offerings
Maintains facility’s rental equipment inventory
Prepares equipment orders, coordinates delivery/pickup, and manages onsite additions and adjustments
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 or more years of related work experience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills required
Ability to work often-irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required by the events
Strong attention to details
Microsoft Office Suite – required
Preferred
Previous knowledge of event audio-visual requirements preferred
Experience managing audio-visual labor preferred
Experience using AutoCAD & Vectorworks – a plus
Experience using event software, such as EBMS – a plus
