Senior SAP ABAP Developer
GlobalSource IT is working with a direct client in the Chicago area that is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join their team. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting ABAP solutions within a highly customized SAP ECC 6.0 environment.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support ABAP solutions within a highly customized ECC 6.0 environment
Provide procurement-related ABAP development and enhancements
Support system integrations, including inbound and outbound interfaces
Perform bug fixes, minor enhancements, table updates, and occasional production support
Collaborate with functional teams and external vendors during upcoming integration efforts
Adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of assigned work with minimal oversight
Qualification
Required
Strong, well-rounded SAP ABAP development experience in ECC 6.0
Procurement-related development experience (MM/P2P focus)
Integration experience (Coupa integration strongly preferred)
Solid experience with IDOCs and EDI
Working knowledge of SmartForms and SAPScript
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly customized environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work CST business hours
Must be comfortable working in SAP ECC for 12–18+ months without immediate S/4HANA exposure
Adaptable, autonomous, and able to 'wear multiple hats' in a lean team environment
