Responsibilities
Live switch live-to-tape, multi-camera podcast productions in Newsweek’s NYC studio
Capture, edit, and deliver two complete podcast episodes daily
Edit long-form and short-form video using Adobe Premiere Pro, maintaining Newsweek’s visual standards
Implement and customize MOGRTs for lower thirds and branded elements
Mix and level audio to broadcast-quality standards
Collaborate with producers, hosts, and social editors to support daily publishing
Apply strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and problem-solving in a fast-paced newsroom
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of experience in a newsroom, digital media company, or podcast studio
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and multi-camera editing workflows
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news environment
Strong understanding of social video platforms and audience engagement
Experience with studio switchers such as Blackmagic ATEM or similar systems
Must be able to work on-site in New York City, Monday through Friday
