Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the products sold in the café, including coffees, teas, and natural beverages
Greet customers in a friendly, personalized, and professional manner (to-go bar)
Offer beverages and food that meet recipe, quality, and presentation standards
Accurately answer customer questions about blends, preparation, and product characteristics
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to established recipes
Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper operation
Prepare fruits and vegetables for smoothies and shakes, including chopping, weighing, and portioning
Manage the rotation and organization of alcoholic beverages
Conduct inventories
Perform weekly equipment cleaning and polish glasses and glassware
Qualification
Required
1+ Years of previous Barista Experience
Exhibits an authentic desire to exceed the customers expectations
Demonstrates a sense of urgency
Fast learner, and willing to learn every aspect of the job
Is resilient and bounces back quickly to setbacks
Can work in a fast paced environment at times
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Schedule flexibility that includes mornings, evenings and weekends
Provides customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions as requested
Stocks customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation item
