Responsibilities

Develop robust, scalable, and automated solutions for running event-driven, serverless-like workflows on Kubernetes, potentially utilizing technologies like KEDA or similar cloud-native tools
Use Terraform/Terragrunt and Helm to build and manage the necessary underlying Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and deployment tooling
Partner closely with engineering teams to understand their unique workload requirements, provide consultation on re-platforming best practices, and develop standardized tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) for easy migration and deployment
Benchmark migrated services, optimize resource requests/limits, and implement advanced observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) solutions to ensure parity or improvement in service SLOs
Establish best practices, guardrails, and documentation for running event-based compute on Kubernetes to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable operation post-migration

Required

3+ years of experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineering roles, with significant time spent on large-scale compute migrations
Proficiency in Kubernetes (design, deployment, operations, networking, security, and scaling)
Hands-on experience with AWS compute services, particularly AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate, and a clear understanding of their operational models and scaling behaviors
Proven experience migrating production workloads from traditional cloud compute (VMs, Lambdas, ECS) to Kubernetes
Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker) and modern CI/CD practices
Excellent communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams

Preferred

Experience working in and/or migrating to workflow orchestration tools
Experience with Python or Go for tooling development and automation
